PRINTEX07 SET TO BE SYDNEY’S BIGGEST EVER PRINT & GRAPHICS EVENT - 20 Mar 2006

Building on the success of previous PrintEx exhibitions, PrintEx07 is expanding into an additional hall at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, 24-26 May 2007. Stand sales are already well underway and organisers are once again predicting a sell-out event.

PrintEx is presented by Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMAA) and Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA) as a complement to the Melbourne-staged PacPrint, which also takes places every four years (next event: 2009).

The two events, whilst attracting similar exhibitors, are very different in execution. PrintEx, launched in 1999, has built its success on its ‘shell-scheme’ only presentation which means lower stand costs as well as helping smaller exhibitors to showcase on a more equitable level with larger companies.

“Following feedback from our exhibitors we have, however, lifted the 90 sq.m. restriction on total stand space. Some exhibitors have already booked up to double the size so this is obviously a welcome change to our format,” said Brian Thomas, Exhibition Director, Reed Exhibitions.

PrintEx03 was a total sell-out with more than 180 exhibitors. With the addition of Hall 6, and taking into account no restriction on space allowance, organisers are expecting upwards of 240 exhibiting companies for PrintEx07.

The PrintEx07 Board is comprised of GAMAA representatives Grant Churchill (Chairman), Gary Seidl (Vice Chairman) and Mitch Mulligan together with representatives from PIAA, Peter Lane, Chris Segaert and Stephen Anstice.

“The Board of PrintEx07 is working together to present an event which serves the ever-evolving needs of the graphic arts, print and graphic communications industry. With new technologies and equipment coming so rapidly into the marketplace, PrintEx07 fills a vital role as a major opportunity to showcase products and educate on new initiatives,” said Grant Churchill, Chairman, PrintEx07.

PrintEx07 will take place in Halls 4, 5 & 6, Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour from Thursday 24 May to Saturday 26 May, 2007. The exhibition is presented by Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMAA) and the Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA).
